Bruins announce opening day roster ahead of Panthers game

The Boston Bruins open the 2024-25 NHL season Tuesday night in a rivalry clash from the jump.

Boston visits the Florida Panthers, who will be celebrating their Stanley Cup title from a season ago. The Panthers have eliminated the Bruins in each of the last two playoff series as the eventual Eastern Conference champions.

The Bruins released their opening night roster Monday ahead of Tuesday’s game. That list now includes Jeremy Swayman, Boston’s star goaltender, after finally securing a long-term extension with the Bruins with just days remaining in the season.

Here’s how Boston stands heading into Tuesday night.
